wow, long time no see

So, it's been a while since I've been here --to blog--.

Um, let's see.  I think I have realized that I will never finish our Vegas Trip blog  .  So, something that I can blog about --Chris's bday celebration/bday!!  He had a blast!  My gift to him was getting VIP @ Bliss Ultra Lounge.  He felt special --and I felt great being able to do something like that for him.  Now, I don't know that I will EVER pay that kind of money for Grey Goose again . . . SERIOUSLY!!!  And the part that bugs me a bit more than the total at the end of the night (which doesn't really bug me because I knew how much it was going to be . . . ) is that everyone else probably had more drinks from what I purchased for the bday boy than he did!!  I mean, not that I didn't want others to drink what was there --that's not what I mean at all!-- I just wish that Chris didn't get back up to our section and ask "it's all gone already?!"   Well, either way, I didn't want him to get drunk or wasted or whatever else could happen with too much alcohol --So, all in all, it really worked out wonderfully.  I looked at it this way:  the money that I payed was mainly for the VIP section (I could have gotten the smaller VIP but what's the fun in that?!  I wanted him to "party like a rock star" -as everyone told him to, ha ha ha and how could he do that if he would have just blended in with everyone else?! --Chris has to have the BEST, right?!  --so, yes, the money was mainly for the section, not really the alcohol because there is no way that was a 'normal' price for those bottles!! -- so, our section ROCKED and it sure is a celebration that he enjoyed --it seems like everyone else did too.  And THAT's what's important.  A nice group of people went out to celebrate with him (mainly WaMu peeps --with the exception of 4, me included.) and everyone got their "groove" on . . . some waaaay more than others!! LOL  --so, I probably ended up saving some money compared to renting out a facility, purchasing food and drinks, booking a dj and so on . . . see?!  ha ha ha

So, some of you know, 'Mishelly doesn't ger her groove on these days' . . . only in the privacy of my own home!! ha ha ha.  Well, I got bold and went down to dance --until I kept on getting grabbed and touched by one particular guy.  And where was my honey?!  Up there sitting w/ friends!!  The only reason I had gone down to dance was because he wanted me to and then he some how relocated back up there . . .?  So, the first time this guy put his hands on me was like this:  I'm dancing with two other girls and out of no where I feel this hand on my hip/waist.  I KNEW it wasn't Chris, just by the touch (you just know your man's touch!! --and that sure wasn't Chris --UGH!!!).  So, I give him some 'UGH' look and flick his hand off as I continue to dance and move away from him. He got closer to us girls and started trying to show off his dance moves.  When no one responded to him --we all kind of shifted away from him and kept dancing (ignoring him so he would just leave)-- he "smoothly" danced across to another group of girls to "groove" with.  ha ha . . . Well, another song or two later, the same guy passes, and yes, it was crowded by this time so you either wait until people move out of your way or you squeeeeeze through --not my type of environment!!-- so he squeezed through once, right up agains my but -pausing to hold on to me- I basically shoved my elbows  around (while continuing to dance) as I moved away --then he passed again!!  This time his hand somehow finds its way to my butt!!!!!  AH!! "OH NO HE DI-N'T!!!" I was soooooo upset and disgusted --I WASN'T THERE FOR ANY OTHER REASON BUT TO CELEBRATE WITH MY HUSBAND!!-- So, I turn around, throw his hand off of me and scream out "EXCUSE ME!!" ( even if I wasn't mad, I would have had to scream, the music is beyond "loud" in that place.)  I couldn't even dance anymore; I was so irritated --Chris was there with me the last two times that guy passed.  But it's so crowded, chris didn't know anything until I told him -after it had already happened.  Then Chris just danced behind me and if 'dude' wanted to come up and grab again --haha-- he would have had to squeeze between me and chris . . . I couldn't believe it.  I mean, I don't fit in with the super slim, short dress, high heeled, flirty dancin' gals (which, I'm not judging . . . or at least, I don't mean to, but I could probably understand a little better if I fit that "super hot and sexy, asking for it" image --I seriously doubt I did.  There were plenty of young ladies who were there to dance with 'people', I saw them . . . so maybe that's what upset me most.  I was not, in any way, trying to get that type of "grabby" attention --I could have slapped him!! (which I really wanted to --but then again, I am the one that chose to go there, right?! . . . so, I guess I didn't feel I could get that upset --maybe I'm wrong, but that is what I imagined going out to a club would be like?!?)

Anyway --so, I went back up to our section . . . and I took a moment to just watch how that 'guy' was just moving from lady to lady trying to get a positive response, I guess.  Later in the night, I managed to make my way to the restrooms, this time alone (lol, yes, I normally go in a group --especially in a place like that! ha ha).  Well, by that time, late in the night, I was soooo exhausted and the look on my face seemed to be in need of a smile --or so I was told . . . lol.  A tall blk guy puts his hand on my back, as I pass by, like he knows it's okay to touch me or something, and says,

guy: "you should smile."

me: "HUH?!"

guy: "I saw you dancing earlier and you have such a beautiful smile.  You really should smile more."

me:"Oh.  I'm tired." (as I walk off to the restroom)

lol.  It took me a while to realize that I was in a place where people use corny lines like that!! lol.  I can't say that anything like that had ever been said to me --so, as I was in the restroom, I realized that my reaction probably wasn't what he was hoping for.  In my mind, when he was telling me that I should smile more, I was thinking to myself, "I really have to pee.  Why exactly do you feel the need to care if I smile or not?!? --where did you come from?!" ha ha ha  It wasn't 'till I got back to sit down, and share what had just happened, that I was told what a lame, old, corny pick up line that was.  Then I was like "OH!!  (ha ha) He was really hoping to 'pick' up a lady that way?" --then I realized why I never really chose to live the "club" scene.  I probably came off as rude (or another word) to those guys --but I wasn't there for them; so, they just irritated me . . . and then made me laugh.  Poor them; they were really hoping to meet someone that night and they were just wasting their precious "skill" on rude 'ol, married, un-interested, Me.

Other than the 'stuff' that annoyed me, I had a blast!!  I danced, w/ a girlfriend, on one of those table/bench things --just for the heck of having fun!  I took a whole bunch of photos of things that some people might not even remember they did!! ha ha ha  Chris thought it would be funny to say "we should do this every weekend!" --I thought he was joking . . . and then I realized that he wasn't.  Opposites sure do attract! hee hee

So, for his bday, I made him a dozen JUMBO Funfetti cupcakes (his favorite, of course: funfetti!!) w/ chocolate covered strawberries.    Those were for his work and for the house, I made him a vanilla cake, filled with strawberry, frosted with cream cheese frosting and topped with chocolate covered strawberries and a chocolate drizzle.

I sure hope he enjoyed his 26th celebration . . . I'm pooooooped!! ha ha ha -sorry it was so long.  I guess I had a bit more than usual to share -hee hee.

it's all about the bling --until...

the same bling keeps costing more money!!

Well, I'll start of with saying that I love my wedding rings!  When I don't wear them, I feel naked .  Well, the story goes . . .
On August 10th, we went to get our rings cleaned and inspected.  We dropped them off and then walked around for 5 mins or so.  When we went back, anxious to see them all sparkly and pretty, we were told that she couldn't clean them because about 4 diamonds on Chris's band were a little loose and ALL of the diamonds on my band were extremely loose!!!   So, she couldn't even sign off on the inspection . . . She put them in little bags until we could take them in to get repaired.  We were at Ingram and since we are closer to La Cantera, we just asked for the total estimate and then we would drop them off at La Cantera.  Well, they are just sitting on the counter for now .  It's such a sad sad story -lol.
After having Kryssa, I had to get my rings resized -slightly bigger-.  I was shocked with how much it all came out to ---when you add it all up:  $ to seperate all three rings, $ to resize all three rings, $ to re-solder all three rings back together, $$$ to re-engrave my wedding band (something like $5 for the first 5 characters and then $1.75 per character after that --my ring had approx. 22 characters!!!!) --so, you add it all up and it turned out to be about 200 dollars or so.  Well, now I have to pay for my stones to be reset?!  It's $15 per stone or $45 for four or more --so It's going to be $30-$45 for Chris's band,  and for my set it is going to be $__ to get them separated, $45 for my wedding band stones to be reset, $___ to get them re-soldered back together, and that's hoping that none of the engagement stones need to be re-set!!!   Boooo hoooo!!!  (While I'm at it, I should get the little nuggets re-done too -the wear and tear on this set was not explained to us!! ha ha --I just have to remind myself that they are 5 years old already --plus some months on the engagement rings. )  I just can't believe it.  I mean, I love them, they're beautiful --but we are thinking about  going to purchase some simple wedding bands to wear for everyday use and only wear our actual wedding set for special occassions/every now and then.  How sad!!  I'm sure mine was worse because my ring gets bumped quite a bit due to the way the solitare sticks out . . . not that it's super HUGE or anything -lol!!  It's just easy to bump on things because it's not flush with the other bands . . .
So, I am a little excited to shop around for a new wedding band -but it's somewhat sad to think that my beautiful wedding set might not be on my finger every day . . . sniffle!  I'm sooo tempted just to take my chances and wear it after it gets fixed --I mean, it did last five years before it needed to be reset, right?!    So, approx. $90 on resetting my rings every five years or so isn't bad at all -when you think of it that way, right? hee hee
So, Diamonds are a girls' best friend -until they start costing an extra couple hundred every year -on top of what your man already paid!!!
Well, at least Kryssa got something good out of our ring browsing.  Chris bought her the cutest little flower earrings at James Avery!!  --They look soooo cute on her

8/19/07 -new song

I'm not always strong
And sometimes I'm even wrong
But I win when I choose
And I can't stand to lose
But I can't always be
The rock that you see
When the nights get too long
And I just can't go on

The woman in me
Needs you to be
The man in my arms
To hold tenderly
Cause I'm a woman in love
And it's you I run to
Yeah the woman in me
Needs the man in you

When the world wants too much
And it feels cold and out of touch
It's a beautiful place
When you kiss my face

The woman in me
Needs you to be
The man in my arms
To hold tenderly
Cause I'm a woman in love
And it's you I run to
Yeah the woman in me
Needs the man in you

Yeah the woman in me
Needs the man in you

I need you baby
Yeah yeah Oh baby...

What goes down, must come up --?!

Well, let me just say, "IF YOU HAVE A WEAK TUMMY, DON'T READ THIS ONE!!" --sorry . . .

So, today was my first day of work -for the week.  We had a very nice day -except for my child learning how to cope with being 3.  She has become, I hate to say this, but it's the only way I can seem to explain it . . . bratty.  This too shall pass, I believe!  So far, so good, with our little night time routine.  She is in her bed, laying down, and not screaming!!  Praise God!
Well, anyway, to the crazy part of my day/night.  I got a phone call from Chris saying that he was trying to come home early because he was not feeling well.  When Chris misses work due to "not feeling well" he is beyond not feeling well.  Poor thing . . . sure enough, he has been throwing up since he's been home .  I was on my way out the door, when I heard him getting sick.  Well, I go up to comfort him (he's an adult, I know.  But I know how horrible it is to feel that sick) -and I end up cleaning up quite a yucky mess .  .  . UGH!!!  Not "ugh" to cleaning up after him . . . he's sick and I will take very good care of him --"UGH" to the fact that I have pretty much been cleaning up throw up since last Wednesday!!   Kryssa was sick and throwing up all night Wednesday and then more throw up on Friday night/Saturday morning! ---This is kind of a gross blog, huh?!  lol . . . ---
So, anyway, when I get back home, he is getting sick again -poor thing!  So, I do what I need to take care of him.  Then I come downstairs, and as I'm sitting here working, I hear Skylar's stomach making some strange noises.  I go check on her and, believe it or not, Skylar is throwing up in her cage right before my eyes!!!  UGH!!!  I just couldn't believe it was happening that way . . . So, I head back upstairs to check on Chris and Kryssa and then back downstairs to clean up the mess from Skylar's tummy.  Once I finished that, I head back upstairs and bathe Kryssa . . .
The house is quite, my dog is sleeping, Chris is sleeping and it sure seems as though Kryssa is sleeping too . . . WOW!!   --Now this is what I call quite time.  And right now, I really need some quite time . . .
**Oh, and to top it all off, I was supposed to start watching a little nine month old tomorrow; but I will have to make a phone call to that family at 6:30am letting them know the situation --it will be up to them if they still want to bring their son.  It will be quite a risk, though, because Chris is running a pretty high temp, which means that this is more than likely a stomach flu/virus that he is fighting .  --from my experience, very easy to catch/spread . . .
So, I will head to bed now -everyone is sleeping and it seems as though I can "clock out" for a couple of hours -until someone wakes up and calls out for me (more than likely it will be Kryssa -but as sick and Chris is, he might be first?!).  God willing, this passes before morning.
Keep our household in prayer, please.
Thanks a bunch -night night.

here's the news

There is nothing exciting to share  -sorry.
I will start the meds again soon and the doctor is giving me double the dose of clomid this time around.  I know that God has perfect timing -I'm just really looking forward to that "time" .
I'm still going to my spa treatment -which I hope feels really good and not causes more pain -for whatever reason?!
My next appt with the doctor will be on Sept. 21.

**Oh, and by the way, Pinky did end up getting car sick again today -on the way over there and on the way back too!!! -UGH!   So, the vet gave her some meds for me to keep on hand for our next car ride (who knows when that will be though).  My kitties are healthy and they got the all clear!!   Now they can get declawed!!! Woohoo!!

Hopefully I can enjoy my me time to either just think about absolutely nothing OR reflect on life and how wonderful everything is -what I do have to be greatful for . . . --No, I'm not depressed over the "news" or anything like that -but some good "me time" is needed.  So, thank God for my 2 hours tonight.

There are many other things to stay busy with:  Kryssa's party, Chris's Party, my Party!! -hee hee, 1st day of school, the little 9month old's first day ---and everyone else's pregnancies!!!  At least I have that, right?  Seriously!!    Oh, and Chris gets off early tomorrow and then he's off all day on Friday, for Kryssa's bday . . . Oh my!!  I can't believe "Friday" is just a day and a half away?!?  My little "baby" will be 3!!!  Eeeek!

animals, animals, and celebrations

Okay, so today we had a Zoo field trip.  It went very well.  I have some pics that I will add to my album soon.
Tomorrow, the kitties have a vet appt at 8:30am!!  That's super early for me -to be driving my pets around -ha ha ha
Then I plan on having lunch with my dad -after getting the cats back home and hopefully not having a mess to clean up (pinky gets car sick every time :( YUCK!)
Kryssa will go to Tia Monica's by 1pm and then at 1:30pm I have an appt. with my doctor  -Only God knows the news I will hear . . .
After picking Kryssa back up we will run some final errands for her birthday.  Then at 6:45pm I will begin my 2 hour pampering session at Spa d'sante!!! I'm soooooo excited for that.   And daddy and Kryssa will do who knows what kind of "Fun" daddy stuff that goes on when I'm not around -lol!! --So, no matter what news I get at my appt., I will have my spa appt. to look forward to.  --I'm ready . . .
Well, nighty night.  I have so much on my mind but it is cuddle time!!  and I must put the rest in God's hands . . .
Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

I should have worn my dancing shoes

We just got home from my cousin's wedding reception.  Boy oh boy, my feet HURT!!!  Lol, I wore the most comfortable dress shoes that I own -but they just weren't comfortable enough to wear while setting up a cake, cutting and serving the cake, or while dancing the night away . . . Kryssa had a BLAST dancing!! She got the party started.  She was the only one on the dance floor for a while -she didn't care, she was having a grand time with the whole dance floor to herself!! ha ha ha
So, the cake turned out just as we had pictured it to be -Praise God!!  We were so happy and we just kept on looking at it all night -LOL!!  We were the ones to cut and serve it and when I started undoing the decorations, I looked at my mom and Chris, and said, "Get a good look at it because here it goes . . . ".  That is the saddest part about creating Yummies -the image only lasts so long before it is eaten away.  BUT, it was nice to see everyone enjoying -taking pictures and then when they ate it.
I'm sorry, I don't have pictures right now to post; but you KNOW I will post them as soon as I get them.  I feel that this wedding cake is one of the best Yummies I have ever been a part of.  It was a great experience and I am glad that I was asked to do that.    Now I have the experience of creating a wedding cake -and some exciting photos to share and add to my "portfolio"!!!
So, I'll post again soon . . .

Burn Baby Burn!!!

Okay, so I just had to post that we just had a Dance Dance Rovolution workout session and I burned 159 calories and it showed that it was equivalent to jogging 4.something miles -close to 5 miles!! Woohoo!!
Let's lose this weight Baby!!!

To test or not to test -that IS the question...

So, our "conception plan" didn't go as planned.  It wasn't even our fault though, that's what's most frustrating!!  I went for my blood work like I was supposed to and then days passed and I didn't hear from my doctor.  I called and found out that my blood work was lost in the process because the lady that did it remembers packing it up and filling out my form and sending it off -but the results that came back for me were blank . . .   The test was never done!  So, they don't know what happened to my blood -whether it got lost on the way or misplaced when it should have been tested.  Either way, I don't get to find out if the medicine actually did its job.  SO . . . I called to see what's next and I was told that I could test already and that it would be an accurate result.  I don't know what I want to do.  Today is day 46 (from when we started this whole process) --I can't believe 46 days have gone by already . . . I guess I've been so busy that I haven't been soooo consumed in the whole "baby" thing like I was a couple of months ago.  Or, I guess, I also know that we are taking some steps to assist us -so maybe just knowing that has put my mind more at ease . . . who knows!!  I mean, I give God the credit too, of course.  I put it in his hands when we started this whole process and I have just been staying positive "Our time will come.  And when it is time, it will be so wonderful to have such great news!!"  Well, I have an appointment with my doctor on the 8th; so, a part of me just wants to wait until then to test at my appt.  But the other part of me wants to take a test to find out already -lol.  Oh, DRAMA!! lol!!  Okay, so, I could spend 15 dollars on a home test and then another 30 for my appt (which includes a test too) -so that would be two tests, just a few days apart, for 45 dollars. . . OR I could be just a little more patient and pay only 30, see the doctor and get a result there . . . I am a little nervous to test   . . . okay,  A LOT!!  I don't want to see another negative -but at the same time I really do have peace that even if I don't get the result that I want -everything will work out for us.  I do believe that.  But I am human and my emotions are just a little on edge when it comes to this.  Geez, just thinking about all of this right now creates a lump in my throat and butterflies in my tummy.  I really pray that it's positive . . . how exciting would that be?!  lol, even my mom, yesterday, told me that we need to hurry up and give Kryssa a sibling!!  I laughed and said "we're working on it -there's only so much we can do!" --but at the same time, I was thinking "Mom!  You're not helping!!" Lol!!  She only said that because I was telling her a story about what Kryssa was doing yesterday morning and it was about her playing and talking all to herself -but like she was really talking to someone else (does that make sense? -basically, if you just heard her, you would think that someone else is there with her; but then you see that she is all alone having such a wonderful little conversation/playtime -poor thing!!)

OH, something freaky happened last week . . . LOL.  Kryssa was sitting on the floor, next to where I was standing, and she was just staring at me (she was in time-out so I thought she was just trying to get my attention).  Well, I looked at her and she got this strange look on her face as she asked "Mommy?  You got a baby in your tummy?" --can you imagine the shock that hit me?!  I have NEVER told her about how babies are in tummies or anything.  So, I have no idea where she heard that from -but at the same time I thought, I sure could have a baby in my tummy . . . Then to the people that were present, I looked at them and said, "okay, that was freaky!  It's going to be freaky if I find out next week I'm pregnant!!" --how strange is that?!
Okay, so this is my blog for today . . . maybe even the week.  I hadn't blogged on TTC in a while -this is all really on my mind right now -all day and until I fall asleep.  I think I will just try to wait until the 8th, save some money, and still find out results . . .
