"All the boats are gone!"

I just had to blog this before I forget. -such an "aw, how cute" moment (I think).

So, today Kryssa has a temp of 103. :( Poor thing. Well, she's been laying around all day, drinking juice, snacking on light foods and watching cartoons. After a while, she ended up falling asleep -the last thing she was watching was Dora and Benny getting on a boat to cross the river -. I'm on the phone with my sis when she wakes up, looks at me and the short conversation goes something like this:

"Mommy!"

"What's the matter, baby?"

"They're all gone."

"What's all gone, love?"

"There aren't any more." -showing me her hands as if something was supposed to be in there.

"There aren't any more what?"

"The boats! They're all gone. There isn't a boat for me." -looking around from side to side now

"Okay. Well, go back to sleep. When you wake up, we'll look for a boat for you, okay."

"Huh?"

"I'll help you look for a boat, when you wake up. It's okay, go back to sleep, love."

"What boat mommy?" -at this point I realized that she wasn't just talking about what she was dreaming -she had been talking in her sleep, with her eyes open --dreaming with her eyes open, I guess. Because after I told her I'd help her find a boat when she wakes up, I could tell that her eyes really looked awake now -not as sleepy looking as before. Plus, she had no idea what I was talking about and then she fell right back to sleep after I confused her talking about looking for boats!! lol --it was so cute. She was soooo serious about what she was saying. Her voice was sad and she was looking around --probably for Dora and Benny!! ha ha ha. Ah, I hope I remember this one for a long while . . .

As I was sitting here typing, she woke up talking, once again. This time she said "Mommy? I think . . . Simon says that we should stop doing that." I went over to her and asked where she was going -because she was taking her blanket off, about to get up like she was on mission --but she had just opened her eyes! Then she started crying telling me that she wanted to go finish playing. So apparently, in her dream, she was in the classroom playing Simon Says and in real life, she got sad when I told her that she wasn't playing -that she was sleeping. She kept telling me, while crying, "But, no Mommy. i wasn't sleeping, I was playing. It's not sleep time. i don't want you to keep putting me to sleep. I want to go play . . . " --I was rubbing her hair as she was crying and talking -and then she was out just as fast as she was ready to go finish playing Simon Says! Lol! poor thing.

Her fever is pretty high -if it doesn't get better and she keeps dreaming these things -thinking it's real - I might have to take her to TxMed or something. I know that when a fever gets to be too much for one's body sometimes it causes hallucinations! :( I pray that it's just a kid's dream . . .

But hasn't that ever happened to you? you're so sick and out of it that you can't tell what's the dream and what's real?!? --I know I've experienced that . . .

Please keep her in your prayers --a fever of 103 makes me nervous.

Cha-Ching!

Ah, my parents just recently left our house -we were playing "Monopoly Here & Now" -talk about earning the millions!!! lol

Today's been a nice "home" day. I made chorizo and egg tacos for breakfast and that was about all the physical work (besides a couple of potty breaks w/ Kryssa) I had to do until late in the evening -I cut my dad's hair (snipped a piece of my skin off my hand :( -ha ha), got help fixing our vacuum cleaner...

So, my parents visited twice today -ha ha, they just couldn't stay away. It's been a nice calm day -lots of fun around here being silly, joking around --I just can't believe that it is December already --and that tomorrow is Sunday :( My weekend was my only time off w/ my family and it's almost over . . . tomorrow there is a bday party to attend, groceries to buy, laundry to work on, and probably some other errands that need some "running".

Our tree is decorated and our house has a fun little light show . . . Christmas is near . . . Make sure you spread that "Holiday Cheer"!!

:D

**TTC update --so far so good (as far as I know). We should be able to find out if this round of fert. meds. worked --in about 3 wks or so . . . God willing, we'll have wonderful baby news! January will be a year already (since we've been TTC) -it seems to have gone by soooo quickly. i can't believe it! I remember thinking, in January '07, how far away winter '07 seemed to be (we were thinking that we would have baby 2 by winter '07, as in right now...) --But here we are, winter '07, no baby, no pregnancy . . . BUT many blessings and growth -our marriage has grown in so many ways, this year has been such a challenge in SO many ways -God knows what's best -and we had to just "trust" and have "faith" in ways that we never could have imagined . . . and because of everything we've experienced we have united and strengthened as husband and wife in the most perfect way (I say perfect as in for us -not that we are perfect). God is good and we are amazed and so thankful -everyday- for the way He chooses (has chosen) to guide and care for us . . . so, back to the 'meds' --ha ha-- I think we've decided that this was the last round of those particular meds (due to the HORRIBLE side effects :( -the side effects make me wonder why I chose to do another round in the first place . . . I must have forgotten how horrible I felt the last time -but I made sure to tell chris and my mom to remind me of the most recent side effects -to make sure they remind me that I have said "no more". . . if, for some reason, we fail to conceive -once again- we have decided to move on to the next option . . . I'll share if and when we reach that bridge. So, stay tuned for the TTC update -to come in several weeks...

night night
-this was a lot longer and more detailed than I meant it to be -ha ha-

He sure is Green

We are watching The Grinch (Jim Carrey) --well, it's actually paused right now, as Chris puts Kryssa to sleep. Well, I'm having wonderful night . . . Chris is on vacation this week -but tomorrow is my only day off this week!! :( So we are going to stay up late and watch Christmas movies. Next we're watching Mr. Beans Holiday (we've never seen that one).

Earlier, before The Grinch, we watched Vacancy! Yikes . . . I hadn't watched a suspensful movie like that since . .. I don't even know the name of it --something about murders happening in the order of the hotel room number the person was staying in -don't know. Well, that was probably sometime in 2003!! So, I was all tense and snuggled real close to Chris -not knowing what to expect . . . and it turns out that it was just a quick 1hour, 20min., movie! Ugh . . . it was actually a very boring, blah, ending -if you ask me. Eh, oh well.

So, I don't know what we are going to do tomorrow -for now, all we have planned is sleeping in and having breakfast together, the three of us -which does not happen often enough :(- I hope to successfully make omlets -ha ha ;)

Nighty night all!
:D

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I'm soooo excited!! Chris put up some of the Christmas lights about a week ago -and, since Thanksgiving, we've been turning them on --we have them connected to a box that syncs (sp?) the lights to music and it's basically a mini light show. It's so much fun to listen and watch!! :D

Our Thanksgiving was soooo wonderful. It was our first year that we had a small get together. It was just the 3 of us and my FIL. So, it was different -but quite memorable. Chris cooked the majority and that was the "bestest" part!! :D He picked some Rachel Ray recipes for mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, and gravy ---Mmmmmmm!!! It was all sooooo very delicious. I have some pics that I should post, huh?! :D

Oh, I don't know if I've already put this in blog -but we finally finished painting all of downstairs -we had our living and dining room painting and we just recently (about 2 wks ago) painted our kitchen and breakfast/"classroom" area. It's so exciting. Everything is going very well and we have been soooo blessed- just with little things here and there -and spending some wonderful family and hubby/wifey time together. It's a wonderful "calm" (and rainbow) after the storm. :)

OH!! And we just got back from purchasing a fresh tree --it's our first fresh tree together (being married and even as a family, of course ;) ). So, it's actually still tied on the roof of our car. LOL, it was so exciting for me to be driving down the roads with a tree on our car --lol, I'm a goober, I know, ha ha. The funniest part, I think, was when we climbed out of the car like a circus act: the tree is tied around the roof of the car --of course--but that means that all the doors, except for the driver's door, is tied shut!! lol So, Chris gets out of his door and then Kryssa climbs out of the same door and then I came out too!! I can only imagine how that looked . . . the whole family climbing out of one door!! lol!!

So, we are just relaxing before bringing the tree in and then after we do that -we will go and purchase some lights and a couple more items to add to our collection of ornaments. We are all so excited. Oh, Chris may be more excited due to just receiving an iPod Touch from his Dad!!! How crazy is that?! He got an early Christmas gift, I guess. I have a feeling he's still going to get something from his dad on Christmas . . .

I bought a "sit 'n spin" for the kids and Kryssa is busy spinning away -she LOVES it- while I type out my exciting update of how wonderful everything is going for us right now -Praise God- and while Chris plays with his new "toy" (his iPod Touch).

Last but not least, I guess I can add that Chris bought me 2 new winter tops --the one I'm wearing right now is soooo super duper comfy . . . I'm LOVING WINTER!!!!!!!

--okay, we're going to cut the tree off of our car now . . . ha ha, I'll let you know how that goes . . .

have a wonderful 'rest of the weekend'!!
:D

update -it's been a lawwwwwng time!

Well, tonight sure was a big event in our lives --we said goodbye to skylar as we introduced her to her new family. Poor Kryssa took it super duper hard. I've been preparing her for about 2 weeks now -but I can't even imagine what must have been running through her mind as she realized that skylar really wasn't getting back in the car with us -to come back "home". :(

It hit me again when we came home . . . I kicked off my shoes and put the bags down, in the kitchen, getting ready to say, under my breathe, "oh, I guess I'll take the dog out." . . . Then as I walked towards the cage (the light was off in the classroom) it HIT me: "There's no Skylar . . . wow! . . . she's really not there. The cage isn't empty because she is outside waiting to come in -she's just not here anymore . . ." --so Chris packed up the cage and put it in the garage.

So, the classroom really looks so much more like a classroom now. There's sooooo much space (now that our 60lb dog is gone). We've done so many little home improvements with much re-arranging, painting, and remodeling-- having a 'breakfast' area again just feels SOOOOO wonderful!!

We have a super busy week ahead of us --but I'm really looking forward to it! :D Chris is off this weekend and it's going to be great! We are going to finish up some of our little "projects" around the house and then start decorating for CHRISTMAS!!! I'm sooooo excited!!!

:D
I have some other updates -but I'm going to share those in about two weeks or so --once I have more details to share. :D

So, tonight, I felt JOY!! Praise God. Of course, I had mixed emotions about skylar and our super "so sad" daughter --but overall, the night has been very enjoyable with Chris and Kryssa. I'm looking forward to the rest of the weekend -to enjoy with my family.
