Yup, I'm 25!
Okay, so it's about time that I take some time to blog . . . so, I'll blog about about MY BRITHDAY!!

...don't know...
So, I'm just testing out my blog settings -colors, etc. . . . -
I have no idea what happened to the settings that I had. I went to switch my preference to USA, instead of Australia, and then when I saw my blog again, all the colors had been switched around. I don't know why that would have affected it --???
Anyway.
I don't know what kind of weekend we had. I got sick again . . . well, I had felt better on Friday -so I was out- then it hit me again Friday night --fever and all . So, today was okay -I guess. I mean, I still feel UGH (sore throat, ear ache, stuffy/runny nose, sneezing, coughing --UGH!!!). But I was well enough to go run the 'important' errands --including a short time with the Grandparents for Grandparents day. My night was going well until "stuff" happened . . . BLAH!! Kryssa is just not being her normal self. She throws the BIGGEST fit for bed time. It's only been going on for a short while. So, I don't know where it is coming from. Well, tonight was a rough night --it caused things to get a little tense in the house.
Um, a funny thing . . . we bought the kitties some little shirts --LOL--. I put one on Pinky, a couple of hours ago, and she had the strangest reaction . . . I should have been video taping her. She was crawling around, super low to the ground, rolling around with her claws out . . . her eyes were CRAZY!!! LOL She looked really cute though. BUT I will have to return them anyway because they are too small. Oh, I wish I would have recorded her --maybe I'll put it back on her tomorrow and record. We got some fantastic laughs out of it . . .
So, I'm sitting here hacking/coughing away --it's that nasty tickly dry cough. It tickles sooooooo badly that you just have to cough --but it sounds like a hissy "smoker's" cough-- but it's just nasty dry cough that causes a headache!!! I should be sleeping right now anyway because I have to wake up at 6am to care for the "wittle baby"!!! I'm looking forward to having him over this week -but I'm going to have to get used to going to sleep early and waking up early all over again . . .
So, I'd love to hear about your weekend!

"Mr. Mom"
So, I'm in bed -still- BUT doing quite a bit better than yesterday and the day before. The fever is gone -for the most part, my throat isn't as swollen, my body doesn't ache as much . . . my ears still hurt, my nose is still runny and stuffy, my body is still uncomfortable, I still have a painful cough, my voice sounds funny -unless, it's a "good" moment. I'm watching all sorts of baby shows on TLC -so, I'm having my "I want a baby" moment -LOL!!!
I have the next 3 days to get well before I start working a 55 hour week! YIKES!!! That's sooooo not my norm!! ha ha ha --But, I'm excited to have Gabriel for the week again!!
Chris has been wonderful these past few days. I wasn't sure what it was going to be like because we were both off yesterday and whenever I've been sick, I am the one home with Kryssa and he is out at work. So, it was great to se how he jumped right in and took care of everything!!! Praise God!! I went downstairs this morning and realized that Chris had cleaned the entire downstais!!! How wonderful, huh?! Yesterday, him and Kryssa were like best buds . . . it was great to see! I missed her so much -she came into my room only to say bye and good night . . . I still haven't been able to cuddle and smother her with kisses . They went out for lunch together, ran errands together . . . he was even the one to take Kryssa to her 3 year check up -which I don't think he's ever done . . .
So, Kryssa is still growing on the bottom of the curve -she's in the 10 percentile . . . crazy, huh?! She is 35 inches and only 26 pounds -ha ha ha!! I knew babies under a year that weighed about what she weighs right now, at 3!! lol So, her doctore finally agrees that she is just going to be a petite little girl. The doctor estimated that, with the way she is growing now, that she will grow to be about 5' 1" --which is what I am . . . --my poor baby! ha ha ha The great news is that, according to Kryssa's evaluation, she is mentally growing along a 4 year old level!! Yay, right?! BUT she unfortunately likes to act like a one and a half year old!!!! LOL --seriously though. She has her moments where she likes to show off her "big girl" skill but then the other time, she babbles like a baby and wants me to hold her and do everything for her --when I KNOW that she is able to do it all on her own. I just tell myself that she will get to that point in life where she won't want me to help her anymore --and I will still want to help her. So, I might as well enjoy whatever I can right now . . . right?! hee hee
So, if you want to bring me soup and crackers -giggle- you'll be my new best friend!! LOL
*just teasin' --Chris stocked me up yesterday --but anything else, feel free -"tee hee"

Her first Build-A-Bear!
Ah, it's been a great long weekend!!
So, no picnic -due to the 'ify' weather -BUT, we still had plenty to do and we enjoyed having all that time together!!
We visited North Star Mall and that is where Kryssa had her first Build A Bear experience. She had a BLAST!!
So, tonight she even brushed his teeth and took him potty (pretend, of course!)

It's all in this moment
Miracle of the Moment -steven curtis chapman
It's time for letting goAll of our "if onlies"
Cause we don't have a time machine
And even if we did
Would we really want to use it
Would we really want to go change everything
Cause we are who and where and what we are for now
And this is the only moment we can do anything about
So breathe it in and breathe it out
And listen to your heartbeat
There's a wonder in the here and now
It's right there in front of you
And I don't want you to miss the miracle of the moment
There's only One who knows
What's really out there waiting
And all the moments yet to be
And all we need to know
Is He's out there waiting
To Him the future's history
And He has given us a treasure called right now
And this is the only moment we can do anything about
So breathe it in and breathe it out
And listen to your heartbeat
There's a wonder in the here and now
It's right there in front of you
And I don't want you to miss the miracle of the moment
And if it brings you tears
Then taste them as they fall
Let them soften your heart
And if it brings you laughter
Then throw your head back
And let it go
Let it go, yeah
You gotta let it go
And listen to your heartbeat
And breathe it in and breathe it out
And listen to your heartbeat
There's a wonder in the here and now
It's right there in front of you
And I don't want you to miss the miracle of the moment
And breathe it in and breathe it out
And listen to your heartbeat
There's a wonder in the here and now (here and now)
It's right there in front of you
And I don't want you to miss the miracle
Of the moment
plain and simple is GREAT!
Yay! So, we went to James Avery and bought new wedding bands today!!!
Five years ago, it was about the "bling" --now, it's just about not ruining the "bling". So, we bought plain wedding bands to wear 'everyday' and then every now and then -plus special occasions- we will enjoy wearing our original sets. Yes, it's a little sad. But now that we haven't been wearing anything since August 10, plain is just as wonderful for us. It felt like we had just said "I do" all over again --we kept, okay, well, maybe it was just me -ha ha, I kept looking at the rings saying "Yay!! We have rings on again!!" --you know, like when you first get an engagement ring or your wedding rings, you look at it/them and get all excited to have a 'ring' on that finger!!
Wow, we could have saved some serious money buying something like this in the very beginning -ha ha ha . . . oh well, that's how one learns, right?!
Today was just a day of walking almost all the stores at 1604/Bandera. Well, I guess we didn't make to to very many stores -we were out for about 7 hours or so but we just lasted so long in each store: James Avery (our rings!), Family Christian Store (a "Smile, God Loves You" decal for my car -yay!!), TJMax (some "stuff" for me), Linens & Things (a chocolate fountain!! --great deal: it was the display, on clearance, for only 10 dollars!!! Regular price is 50 . . . super cool, huh?!? , and some fun "stuff" for the house), Barnes & Noble ('For Men Only' --because I bought 'For Women Only' last week and it's such a great book. When I found out there was one for men, we just had to get it!!--, and 'The Five Love Languages'), then we went to Half Price books (New Bible, a fiction that I've been wanting, a calendar/planner for '08). After all that, it was already 9:30pm or so and we were starving --so we tried Salsalitos for the very first time. It was sooo delicious. We have decided that there is no need to drive all the way to Gringo's now, when ever we are in the mood for good mexican food -hee hee !!
Tomorrow we are having a picnic, if Kryssa is better (she got some serious ant bites and ended up needing antibiotics due to too much venom in one particular area. her hand was soooo super swollen and then today she was running a temp off and on --poor thing. She has her super cranky moments when those bites start bugging her . . .). So, we'll see how tomorrow goes . . .
night night. We had rented a movie for tonight -but Chris crashed on the couch a while ago --he's had a horrible headache since about 9pm or so. I sure hope my loved ones feel better tomorrow.
enjoy the rest of your weekend -hopefully you have monday off!!!
