Good 'ol Fiesta! -w/ PICS

So, theres' nothing like enjoying a beautiful day at the King William's Fair -until . . .
You realize that your entire family is now haunted with horrible colds!   We just thought that we were dealing w/ typical allergies.  Kryssa slept for a long while -from about 5:45pm till about 8:40pm!  Not to mention that she had already taken her daytime nap .  .  .  Chris also fell asleep when we got back to my mom's house and I was exhausted enough to crash out on my parent's bed but I fought it off and tried to just enjoy hanging out w/ my parents.
Well, last night, for me, was horrible!!  I was waking up about every hour because of a horrible stuffy nose . . . I have my trusty nasal spray but it wasn't lasting as long as it normally does.  Then this morning, my body was super achy, my throat was swollen and in pain, my ears felt as if q-tips were stabbing the insides -I also had so much pressure in my head that my eyes and ears felt like they were going to burst!  Oh, I still feel miserable; but I have been laying down all day and my body still just isn't comfortable.  I wish I had some better nasal spray -for those of you who don't know . . . if I can't breathe through my nose, I'm miserable and super aggrevated.  I must be able to breathe through my nose -MUST!!!
So, thankfully, Kryssa and Chris don't have it as bad as I do -they went out to eat and then to run some errands and make my weekly grocery run.  If it weren't for Chris going for me, I don't know what I would have done.  I had showered and dressed, thinking that I would be 'okay' to go to the store; but by the time I finished getting dressed, all the aches in my body were just too overwhelming for me to think of driving and walking through the store . . . ugh!!
I guess being ill here and there comes along w/ home child care?!  I remember being ill frequently my first year of working at the daycare . . . now, it's in my home and it's harder to avoid.  If one gets sick, somehow it just passes to another if not everyone!
I just pray for a great night of restful sleep so that I can function tomorrow w/ the kiddos . . .   "Waaaaah!  I just want to feel better!!"
Here are some pics of the fun we did have yesterday!  Thank God that I at least had Saturday to enjoy!!

A perfect pair!

So we adopted two precious little Kittens.  We are still thinking on names . . . They were born on February 1st and they are such great little sisters!  hee hee  They do everything together -lol, and I sure mean everything!  So, here are our new little babies:

Help us out with some great kitty names . . . please.  If we leave it up to Kryssa she will call them "Pinky" and "Brownie" -the colors of their collars right now (I heard her talking to them like that "Hey, Pinky come here . . ."  )
So, bring on some names . . .

Here kitty, kitty . . .

I might get to adopt two little kittens!!!  I am too excited . . . I sure hope we decide to get them!
I know, I know, I have a dog and kids all in the same house . . . but I originally wanted a kitten back in September, when I was, against my will, convinced to get Skylar . . . lol, don't get me wrong, I like Skylar -for the most part- aside from the 65 lb dog that doesn't know how to be all that gentle sometimes . . . or her toots that stink up the bottom half of our house -lol!!!  She's eager to please and what she knows, she does (sit, down, off, hush, fetch . . . )  I know I will only be adding to my, already, busy day -but I just can't help it.  I adore little kittens and I've been wanting one for several years now.
The way I see it is:  If I am the one that is home all day long and will have to do the majority of the work -if not all of the work- and I am okay and willing to work something out . . . then why should anyone else be complaining about it for me!  Right?!  I mean, I do appreciate opinions -because maybe I really haven't thought this out in every angle yet; but the ones that say "Michelle, it's going to be a lot of work . . ." -I know!  I do, but how rewarding will it be to cuddle up w/ one, or both, at the end of the day -or several times throughout the day!? hee hee -our dog doesn't know how to "cuddle"! lol, she smothers and licks and gets all gittery with excitement when she gets any type of attention.  I miss the soft little kitty paws mushing around to find a comfy spot . . .
So, for now, this is how I feel.  For now, this is what I want . . .
I am open for opinions and insight I might not be aware of.
thanks

update

So, Mondays are our 'workout' days (I am sooo happy that Chris has started to go w/ me). . . .which was today.  I was really hoping to play tennis again today but it was very important for Chris to come home and watch his show . . . anyway!
So, he ran his mile and I walked 3!!  Woo hoo for me!!  hee hee.  I ran half a mile and walked the rest.  Oh my shins were BURNING W/ PAIN!!!  I haven't run in yeeeeears!!!  So, I am working up to being able to run again . . . we'll see how next week goes -hee hee.  I really enjoyed being out there in the wonderful breezy weather.  Oh, boy!  I sure enjoyed my me time today!!    Just me, my ipod, the beautiful weather, and God!!  Chris went home after he ran . . . I still had quite a bit of walking to do; but, really, that was perfectly fine w/ me -that meant that I got to be allll by myself to unwind from allllll the stuff that life brings . . . you know?! . . . . Wow, I had a great work out . . . lol, I jammed out to Ace of Base and that really got me in the mood to 'Work It'!! LoL!!!  I sure had a variety of music goin' on today . . .
So, my body feels tired BUT GREAT!!  I am sooo happy w/ the results that I have been seeing (Chris is finally noticing results too -Yay!).   Praise God for wonderful friends and family!  Thanks for all the support and motivation.
XOXO
I should have listened to my mom and taken before pics -I was just too grossed out to think that one day I would 'want' to look at the 'before' pics -or even let others see them; but NOW I see how I would love to look at the before pic right now because I know what a difference there is -but not everyone knows just by looking at me . . .oh well, that's okay.  Maybe I should still take some of how I look now because I still have a lot more to shed off.

Dallas trip

So, it starts w/ going to get my hair cut Friday -I don't think that I feel the same about my hair stylist anymore.  I don't know what she was thinking when she chopped my hair!!!  You'll see it in the slide show  -I'm doing my best these days to manage the hair that she did leave on my head . . .

So, after my hair cut, I rushed home to pack and get on the road.  We were running just a little late until Kryssa decided to climb in the front seat, while we loading the trunk, and spill chocolate milk allllll over the driver's seat!!!  Ugh!!  So, that took another 30 mins or so to finish doing what we were already doing plus clean up the mess before having to sit on that seat.

We got gas from Walmart and happened to run into my parents there, in the parking lot.  It was nice to run into them -my mom gave me the sweet little compliment that I needed to help me feel a little better about my hair.  As we were chit chatting, from one second to the next, literally, the breeze became chilly and then the rain drops started . . . it was pouring buckets until we passed San Marcos; so what was supposed to be an hour and a half trip, turned into 2 hours or more.  At points, I had to drive 45 miles an hour in order to be sure of where my lane was -it was pretty crazy . . . but I really do LOVE driving in the rain -so, it was quite enjoyable for me.

We played wii at my sister's, in Austin, until everyone was falling asleep.  So night night we went and slept for about 5 hours until we had to "wakey wakey" to dress and hit the road again . . .

Oh, we were doing great on time, to get to the Hotel w/ enough time to dress for the wedding, until we took the wrong exit and had to drive who knows how many miles before we could exit and try to make it back on track . . . Ah!!!  Instead of getting to our Hotel room at 12:30, we got in our room at 1pm!!  We should have left at 1:15 to be at the church at 2 (especially since we saw the traffic in the direction we needed to go was stopped for miles ).  Well, I didn't get down to the lobby until 1:40pm and we still needed to stop and get gas.  So, I knew we were going to be late . . .

Finally, 2:32pm , we pull up into the parking lot and I rush in while Chris parks.  I ask if it is still going on and I was told that it was over with already.   **I have never known of a wedding to be exactly 30 mins long -starting on time and ending on time!  So, good for them, I guess -punctuality is a great quality** I get to see Imelda as photographs are being taken.  The reception wasn't long either: fruit, juice, cake and cupcakes . . . slide show of Bride and Groom and then group photo and ta-da!  All done!  But yay for them, the sooner they could get out of there, the sooner they could start their honeymoon!!   hee hee

So, it's going on 4pm and we have the rest of the time to enjoy for ourselves -which we thought we would be busy all day on Saturday.  So, we had a wonderful dinner as a family -splurged a bit and enjoyed every single bite and drink!! hee hee  Mmmm! **steak, shrimp, crab legs, trio cheese cake plate -3 slices of cheese cake, each one w/ a different topping!! Oh, so delicious!!-

We tried to get together w/ all my family that lives over there: 2 sisters and 1 brother . . . it was all last minute, seeing how we thought we would be crazy busy all weekend.  Well, we ended up getting to have breakfast w/ my brother's family  - it was sooooo Wonderful to see them!!  Then we met up w/ someone that I went to middle school with!!  It was great . . . so much time has passed, (since 1997, I believe) yet, thanks to myspace, it didn't seem like we had 10 years of catching up to do.  It was GREAT!

So, in between the main events that took place, we had some great, silly, adventurous, family moments . . . sums up to a Fantastic weekend trip!!!

So, here's the slide show:

Deal ! ! !

Gotta love my Crazy Husband!! . . . lol, I guess it comes in handy on a different level -lol!!

He's out at Sunset Station auditioning to be on Deal or No Deal . . . and they are looking for some 'interesting', energetic people to go on the show for a chance to win some serious money . . .

****As silly as it may sound to some, for others -it's what we do, please say a little prayer that things go in his favor . . . I know, I know, "what's meant to be will be" is what I always say -but I also know that when two or more people come together in prayer . . . 'things' happen -hee hee
Hey, everyone has dreams, right?!  -and his is to get on this show and win some serious money . . . to do some serious things in his life time.  I sure love how he dreams BIG!!!  And he's out to get it -one way or another . . .
Either way, he's out there standing in line waiting for his 20 second chance to show the producers that he IS someone they should put on the show!!  I'm sure he's having quite an adventure out there.  It's kind of like my American Idol experience -it wasn't 'meant' to be for me but it was one heck of an experience!!

The Lake House

So, I just finished watching The Lake House (w/ Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves) . . . Wow!  I didn't think that I would care for that movie; Chris rented it the other night and when I saw what movie he chose, I thought, "oh, this movie . . . eh!".  So, we sat to watch it and I still was thinking, throughout the beginning, "This is so unrealistic . . .Ugh!"  But then when I started putting some things together, I had the whole movie figured out in my head and I just needed to watch it all the way through to see if I was right . . . I WAS!!  I think it is a GREAT movie -ha ha ha . . .
Oh, to think . . . how years go by and everything happens for a specific reason in someone's life . . .
